NECTARINE * CACTUS FLOWER * SEA SALT
In 1858, Emil Dresel brought the first Riesling cuttings to America and planted them on what is now the SCRIBE Estate in Sonoma, CA. In homage we planted two acres in 2007 on the southwest facing slope of Arrowhead Mountain with an additional expansion in 2016 bringing our total acreage just shy of four acres.
After more than a decade of growing Riesling on the SCRIBE Estate, we have come to understand how to balance this noble grape's sometimes generous spirit and capture its higher tones and fresh characteristics. Our Riesling is dry – with 0.0 grams of residual sugar – which gives center stage to the pleasures of its unique minerality and evocative floral and stone fruit aromatics. This wine is alive and humming with vibrant acidity and deeply perfumed in the uniquely delicate way only Riesling can be.
