MEYER LEMON * APPLE BLOSSOM * LIMESTONE
Back in 2007, when we first set about planting the vines that would herald the return of the Scribe Estate, we knew we wanted to include Chardonnay.
It has remained one of our landmark varietals in the days since, and occupies a prominent place on the farm, hugging the right side of the palm-lined drive toward the Hacienda. These vines faithfully produce fruit that showcase the Volcanic Tuff soils of Arrowhead Slope, the salty Petaluma Gap breeze and the cool fog it brings each summer morning. Harvested early to maintain natural acidity, fermented in stainless steel and concrete and aged on the heavy lees, this is a pure and transparent expression of the Scribe Estate.
