Scribe's organically farmed Estate vineyard on the southwest-facing slope of Arrowhead Mountain. Clones 667, Martini, Pommard and Wadenswill are planted on St. George rootstock in volcantic tuff and the local Huichica Loam soil. The wine underwent an extended cold fermentation in Stainless steel ad concrete tanks followed by 6 months of aging in a combonation of concrete and neutral French oak barrels.
2015 meteorological data: A dry, warm winter encourages an early start to the season, with bud break in mid-February. The rainy spring that followed reduced the yields to small, concentrated berries but August head spikes prompted our earliest harvest yet.
